Fatima High School in Westphalia receives $500 grant for “It Only Takes One” education campaign

ST. JAMES— Meramec Regional Planning Commission Executive Director Bonnie Prigge and MoDOT Central District Traffic Engineer Trent Brooks recently presented Fatima High School in Westphalia with a grant for $500 for continued safety education. The high school completed a number of projects during the “It Only Takes One” campaign that earned them this grant from the Central District Coalition for Roadway Safety.

The “It Only Takes One” campaign is a competition between Missouri high schools that gives student groups the opportunity to educate teens, parents and their community about the dangers teens face while driving. The competition, which runs September through March, includes educational campaigns, surprise safety belt surveys and the creation of a public service announcement. Fatima School Nurse Wanda Rehagen oversaw the competition in the Fatima High School.
