Ephesians 3:16-19 “That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
In boats, you can buy a “Bank Charging System”. What that does is simply charge all the batteries in the boat. If you’re out on the water all day fishing, you need this because your trolling motor is just running off of batteries. When you get your boat back home, you simply plug your charger in, and all the stress and work that was spent on the batteries is renewed in the charging process.
Many Christians are educated and indoctrinated way beyond their level of obedience, and their witness to the world is a life of frazzled exhausted hypocrisy. And you and I have all heard of those churches that when you walk in, it just seems dead.
Why is that? It’s just like a cellphone that’s lost its charge. It’s dead, but if it is plugged in properly, it can work again.
The daily grind of life drains your spiritual batteries. George Muller’s simple way of plugging into God’s bank charger is summed up in his words, “I listen to God through the word and prayer until my inner-man is happy in the LORD.”
The word and Spirit of God is the only source that’s going to truly recharge and refresh the batteries of your heart. But just that truth alone will not in and of itself recharge you. You must let God administer his love and grace until you experience the fullness of God.
