Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) is the sole local provider of blood for patients at 41 area hospitals in southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas and southeast Kansas. Sick and injured hospital patients depend on CBCO donors to provide the lifesaving blood they need.
A Negative and A Positive blood types are in short supply
CBCO strives for area blood reserves to be at around a three-day supply for all blood types. At the time of this release, the blood center has less than optimum reserves for A Negtive and A Positive blood types. The public is urged to help by donating at a CBCO blood drive or donor center near them.
Participants in this drive will receive a summer t-shirt!
When you give at this event, you’ll get a cool heather gray t-shirt with a patriotic summer message. These shirts are available at all CBCO blood drives through July 31.
You can help by giving blood at this upcoming blood drive:
Thursday, July 5, 2018
2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
United Methodist Church
208 S. Main Street
Each donation will be awarded LifePoints as a part of CBCO’s donor rewards program. LifePoints may be redeemed online for a variety of gift cards, or points may be assigned to other meaningful causes or charities. More information on the LifePoints donor rewards program may be found at www.cbco.org.
