Leach Theatre will host The Celtic Angels for a performance of their holiday show, “Celtic Angel Christmas,” as a part of the 2018-19 Leach Special Performance Series at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
The performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 14. “Celtic Angels Christmas” displays the magic of the holiday season in a show that includes vocal and instrumental seasonal and Irish favorites, along with Irish dancing.
The performance features the vocal quintet of Victoria Kenny, Emily Carroll, Tammy Browne, Amy Penston, and Laura Mullane, all hailing from Ireland. Combined with the dance routines of the Celtic Knight Dancers (featuring two former lead dancers of Riverdance), and backed by the Trinity Band Ensemble of Dublin, Celtic Angels Christmas evokes the true holiday spirit of Christmas in Ireland.
The song list includes “Joy to the World,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Little Drummer Boy,” “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear,” “O Holy Night,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Ireland I Am Coming Home,” “Christmas in Killarney” and more.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for youth and can be purchased through the Leach Theatre Box Office located in the vestibule inside the main entrance of Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street. The Leach Theatre Box Office is open 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets can also be purchased online at leachtheatre.mst.edu.
