Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) is the sole local provider of blood for patients at over 40 area hospitals in southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas and southeast Kansas. Sick and injured hospital patients depend on CBCO donors to provide the lifesaving blood they need.
Supplies of O negative and B negative blood are at less than optimum levels
CBCO strives for area blood reserves to be at around a three-day supply for all blood types. At the time of this release, the blood center has less than a two day supply of type B negative and O negative blood. Winter donation levels can be fickle depending on weather, school closings and holiday needs. CBCO strongly urges blood donors to give when they can during the next few weeks.
Miracle of Giving Blood Drive running now through January 6
The Miracle of Giving Blood Drive runs from December 10 through January 6 at all CBCO blood drives and donor centers. Participants will receive a shirt, including a long sleeve shirt at most drives. The shirts serve as a reward for your generosity and lets people know that you give of yourself to help others in need.
You can help by giving blood at this upcoming blood drive:
Friday, December 28, 2018
8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
